The Books Have Arrived
Looks pretty legit, eh?
So shipping these days is a little bit of a nightmare, but after a long wait I’ve finally received the shipment of the first printing of Winter Cragging in the Canadian Rockies! I’m…. a little bit overwhelmed and very grateful, to be perfectly honest. My first book is written, printed with some fantastic images and I’ve got some 2000-odd copies sitting taking up space in my apartment. Hopefully that number will start to sharply decline over the next little while as all the store shipments and preorders head out the door, however.
So now, the preorder period is over (!!) If you’re reading this and you already ordered your copy as part of the preorder, I’ve already reached out to you about how you’ll be receiving your copy… and if you didn’t see that, check your email spam folder! If you’ve been waiting until the books got here, guess what! You don’t have to wait any longer! Just head over to the Guidebooks tab and put your order in, or you can also pick it up at brick-and-mortar shops (!!)
WOW. Definitely better than even I anticipated! Props to Friesens for printing it incredibly well.
I’ve arranged for a bunch of stores to carry Winter Cragging, in the Bow Valley and beyond. Find your copy at any of the following:
Vertical Addiction, Canmore AB
Yamnuska Mountain Adventures, Canmore AB
Valhalla Pure Outfitters, Canmore AB
Cafe Books, Canmore AB
Monod Sports, Banff AB
Patagonia Banff, Banff AB
The Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies, Banff AB
Climb On Equipment, Squamish AB
Track ‘N Trail, Edmonton AB
The Alpine Club of Canada, Canmore AB
I’m also still always on the search for more stores that are interested - so if you happen to work for one, or know someone who might be interested, please reach out!!
One final thing - as regards US and International orders. I’m still unable to take them directly on the website due to customs and export considerations (it’s complicated, and I’m still not a retail expert!). But if you’re interested regardless, please reach out and I may have solutions for you.
Hope to see you out in the mountains (with copies of a certain brand-new book) soon!
-Nick
EDIT: We now are able to ship to the US and UK!! Not to the rest of Europe yet, I’m afraid…
